Exhibitions are not
a sideline here.
A corporate event venue on Rash Behari Avenue, used as an exhibition hall and a conference hall for 150 to 700. Free parking for 200 cars, and bookings that run a full 24 hours.
Most of this website is written for families. This page is not, because an exhibition and a wedding have almost nothing in common except the room they happen in.
You are booking against footfall, parking, catering and a schedule that has to hold — not against décor. So that is what is on this page, and where the honest answer is “ask us”, it says so instead of guessing on your behalf.
What you are actually booking
A floor booking gives you that floor — its hall, its dining area, its suites and the staff on it. What it does not give you is the building, and we would rather be straight about that than have you find out on the day: we have more than one space and another function can be running at the same time as yours. For a lot of exhibitions that is fine. For some it is not, and if yours is one of those, the Grand Pavilion books all three floors and the rooftop together. Raise it at the enquiry rather than at the contract, because it depends on what else is in the diary for your date.
Exhibitions are not a sideline here
They are one of the most frequently mentioned events in our Google reviews — more often than weddings, which is unusual for a banquet hall and says something about how the space is actually used. Stalls, product displays, trade showcases and art shows have all run in these rooms. If you are laying out a floor plan, send it to us with your dates and we will tell you honestly what fits and what does not, including anything about getting your material in and out that is easier to explain on a call than to guess at from a website.
Two hundred cars, and a metro station
Delegates do not arrive the way a wedding party does. They come one or two to a car, all within the same twenty minutes, and where they put those cars is your problem long before it is theirs. Parking here is free and takes up to 200 vehicles, with a managed valet available at additional charge if you want arrivals handled, and we are on Rash Behari Avenue itself rather than down a lane off it — a short walk from Kalighat Metro for anyone travelling in without a car. It is worth stating plainly because several listing sites publish the opposite about us, and it is one of the few things about this building that genuinely cannot be matched nearby.
A full day in a Kolkata summer
Every floor runs under 50-ton centralised air conditioning, which is the difference between a room that holds attention until four in the afternoon and one that empties after lunch. Catering is arranged through your own caterer — we do not provide it, so you are not held to a venue panel. There is a dedicated rooftop live-counter area, and the booking runs a full 24 hours with our staff on site, so tea breaks, working lunches and a closing dinner sit around your programme rather than ours. If your organisation has a panel caterer it must use, they can work here directly.
Drinks are possible, but the licence is yours
Alcohol can be served at an event here — for an awards evening or a product launch that often matters — but the venue holds no liquor licence of its own, so your organisation obtains the permission and arranges the supply. There is no bar package to buy from us. The practical consequence is a lead time, so raise it at the first conversation rather than the week before, and budget it as a separate line from the venue and the catering. There is also a designated smoking area on the premises.
The Decision
Which floor holds your event

Questions Organisers Ask
Before you call
What does it cost?
A corporate booking is ₹35,000 plus GST for up to 100 people, for a four-hour session — a conference, a training day, a launch. That is a slot rate, not a full-day rate, so tell us your running time and we will price it properly. An exhibition is ₹35,000 plus GST per day for 20 counters. Most run two days or more — a two-day exhibition is ₹70,000 plus GST — and a single day is still ₹35,000. Larger events price by floor: the Heritage Floor and the full estate are quoted on their own, and those run as 24-hour bookings with our staff on site throughout.
Do we get the venue exclusively?
Not automatically. Another function may run in the building at the same time. A floor booking gives you that floor; the Grand Pavilion books all three floors plus the rooftop. If you need the building to itself, say so early so we can check your date.
Can we hold an exhibition here?
Yes, and regularly — exhibitions are among the events guests mention most often in our Google reviews. Stalls, product displays, trade showcases and art shows have all run in these rooms. Almost all of them run on the Ground Floor, which is at street level, so material comes in off Rash Behari Avenue without a staircase. Tell us your dates and the floor area you need laid out and we will tell you honestly what fits.
Can we run a multi-day exhibition?
Tell us the dates. Multi-day bookings are a normal request rather than an exception, and how the room is held between days is worth settling in the same conversation as the rate.
Where do delegates park?
Free parking for up to 200 cars on Rash Behari Avenue itself, with a managed valet available at additional charge. Kalighat Metro is a short walk for anyone arriving without one.
Is catering in-house?
No — we do not provide catering. You arrange your own caterer, and the vessels come from them as well. There is a rooftop live-counter area, and an empanelled caterer can work here directly if your organisation has a panel arrangement.
Can we serve alcohol?
Yes, where your organisation obtains the licence for the event — we do not hold one, and there is no bar package to buy from us. It has a lead time, so raise it early. There is a designated smoking area on the premises.
How many delegates fit?
150 on the Ground Floor up to 700 across the full estate. The Heritage Floor holds 400 to 500 and is the usual choice for a conference or a mid-sized exhibition.
What about getting equipment and stall material in?
Straight answer, because it decides whether this venue works for you. Almost every exhibition here runs on the Ground Floor, which is at street level — material comes in off Rash Behari Avenue with no stairs at all. The first floor is used far less often, and there is no lift; what there is instead is wide staircases built for moving material, and we can provide labour to carry it on a chargeable basis. If you are bringing something heavy or awkward, tell us the dimensions and weight before you book and we will tell you honestly whether it goes up.
Send us your dates.
Tell us the dates, the delegate count and what you need laid out.
We will confirm the floor and the figures.
